New York City has released a free mobile app to help protect its residents’ mobile devices and digital lives. The NYC Secure app, which was built by Zimperium, is a free mobile app that will alert users if their mobile device or tablet encounters threats, such as a potentially unsecure Wi-Fi network, and will offer recommendations on how to address the threats.
The NYC Secure app is the first city-funded app to provide mobile threat protection for personal use and is part of a pioneering cybersecurity initiative aimed at protecting New Yorkers online.
